The most rock n roll thing I ever did was set fire to a hotel room. It was one of those freak accidents and happened during daylight hours on a work trip, disqualifying it – on all counts – from the Keith Moon/Led Zep roll call of bad hotel behaviour.

This week indie US publisher 67 Press release Affinity, their new short story anthology, featuring 17 tales that ‘explore the nature of our driving forces’ and our relationships with each other.

My story in Affinity has a music industry gathering as its backdrop. While none of the story’s characters trash hotel rooms they do get a little bit nostalgic for those days, as does the story’s writer.

Affinity editor Alan Wright talks more here about the collection, which is also available to buy in eBook or glorious (retro) print.
