Britain has just voted to come out of Europe and these are difficult days right now. From my corner of north London, the country has never felt so divided or looked so out of step. Where the next weeks and months take us in this post-Brexit world is anyone’s guess. For now, the consolations of literature, of music – of art – are proving as reliable as they have always been.

This week, a poem I wrote called Transfiguration was published by Hand Job Zine in RPM, a music-themed micro-zine to mark the launch of Dean Lilleyman’s new novel.

Hand Job are always open to submissions of poetry, short stories and flash fiction, and you can read more about what they stand for here.
