I have a short story published this week in Northern Irish literary journal The Honest Ulsterman, where it finds itself in the company of Paul McVeigh, winner of the Polari First Book Prize (for his novel The Good Son), among many others.

Called After Zhivago, the story takes its name from the 1965 film Doctor Zhivago and features cameo appearances from Omar Sharif and Julie Christie, the film’s stars, though that’s where any similarities with it end…

You can read After Zhivago here and all the other great poetry, prose and interviews that feature in October’s issue of The HU.
