Victoria Briggs writes literary fiction. Her short stories have been published online and in print, in lit mags and anthologies, in the UK and US.
She works in education journalism at a global publisher based in London. Before that she used to edit a music industry magazine for songwriters and composers and – earlier still – she worked for various media organisations, including the BBC, ITN and Guardian News and Media.
When she writes about herself in the third person it brings on an out-of-body experience and she finds herself floating around at ceiling level, wondering how to get back down.
She once won the Asham Award for women writers, has an MA in Creative Writing from Middlesex University and, when she isn’t on this blog, can usually be found tweeting @vicbriggs.
